Five Minute Mousse (keto-approved!)

I LOVE a good chocolate mousse! There's nothing better than a light whipped dessert like this after a hearty meal. I used to make chocolate mousse a ton before I cut back on sugar in my diet-- however, this one is guilt-free so I am all here for it!! I'm not kidding when I tell you this literally takes five minutes to make. It's quick and easy with only a few simple ingredients. Top this dessert with your favorite fresh fruit or sugar-free chocolate chips and whipped cream!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Heavy Cream (1.5 cups)

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (1/3 cup)

Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)

Monkfruit Sweetener (2 Tbsp)


WHIP IT UP

***Makes 4-5 servings

  1. In a stand mixer, whisk heavy cream just until it begins to thicken. Be sure not to form stiff peaks yet, as you still have more mixing to do with the next ingredients (If you don't have a stand mixer, just use a mixing bowl with a hand mixer).

  2. Add in the remaining ingredients and whisk until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to over mix your mousse!

That's it! The EASIEST chocolate mousse you will ever make!


If you want to make it even more rich, melt some sugar-free chocolate chips in the microwave until you get a smooth consistency. Let the melted chocolate cool a bit (but not harden) and add it to your mousse mixture. The key to this step is to make sure your chocolate is melted completely, otherwise you may get some lumps in your mixture. If that does happen, just simply heat up your mousse a bit and whip it again until smooth.
